Fat Mike's was born from two Comstock locals missing the cuisine from their time in Texas. While living in Austin for almost ten years, Michael and Abby fell in love with Texas-Style meats and decided to bring it home.
Fat Mike's Barbecue offers Texas Style slow smoked meats combined with the midwest traditions through the food trailer & catering.

Fat Mike's serves up genuine bbq meals using traditional smoking methods. Our meats are dry-rubbed and then slow-smoked on a stick burning (wood fueled only), reverse flow smoker and then wrapped to finish in their own juices.
No fake smoke additives or artificially flavored wood pellets!
Only a blend of hard woods and delicious dry spices!

That's him. Fat Mike. Even though he was born and raised in Michigan, he will tell you he has Texas blood. Whatever it is, he knows his meats! Inspired by the good eats of the South, he's learned to serve up some of the best brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken you'll find in the Midwest.
